Amir Sinaeepourfard, Ph.D., was a former “research associate” and a “postdoctoral candidate” at NTNU, Norway. Amir received a Ph.D. in Computer Architecture (focused on data and software management) with First Class Honours (Excellent Cum Laude) from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in Spain in November 2017. Amir was a fellow of the FI-DGR fellowship program of the Generalitat de Catalunya in Spain during his Ph.D. studies. Based on Amir Ph.D. studies, Amir proposed several novel contributions for Large-Scale ICT management in Smart Cities through Edge-to-Cloud orchestration and building, developing, and improving the idea related to the Big Data Driven Management within and across Data LifeCycle Models in Smart Cities, e.g.,
Based on Amir’s Ph.D. thesis, one of Amir’s publications received the IFIP Med-Hoc-Net paper of the best paper year award for 2016. Amir has significant hands-on experience in both academic research and organizing scientific events/seminars/workshops/conferences in his field. Amir is a “Core Team Member, Workshop Organizer and Idea Creator” of an International Workshops series of “3SCity-E2C: Building Software Services in Smart City through Edge-to-Cloud Orchestration” and “ICT-SCity: The ICT in Smart City Day event.” Also, Amir has recently organized a special scientific track for Digital Twins and Data Engineering in large-scale IoT networks of smart cities within the high-prestige IEEE COINS. Amir’s Google Scholar citation as of January 2023 was 381, and his H-index was 12. Amir has been quite well-experienced in leadership activities in academia and industries (such as the “Team Lead at Aker Solutions,” “e-Banking Manager,” and “Technical Supervisor of master and bachelor students”).
