Amir Sinaeepourfard, Ph.D., was a former “research associate” and a “postdoctoral candidate” at NTNU, Norway. I received a Ph.D. in Computer Architecture (focused on data and software management) with First Class Honours (Excellent Cum Laude) from UPC in Spain, in 2018. I was a fellow of the FI-DGR fellowship program of the Generalitat de Catalunya in Spain during my Ph.D. studies. Based on my Ph.D. studies, I proposed several novel contributions for Large-Scale ICT management in Smart Cities through Edge-to-Cloud orchestration, e.g., “D2C-DM: Distributed-toCentralized Data Management,” and “E2CaaS: Edge-to-Cloud-as-a-Service Model for Building Software Services.” One of my publications, based on my Ph.D. thesis, received the IFIP Med-Hoc-Net paper of the “best paper year award” for 2016. I have significant hands-on experiences in both academic research and organizing scientific events/seminars/workshops/conferences in his field. I am the “Workshop Organizer and Idea Creator” of a series of “3SCity-E2C: Building Software Services in Smart City through Edge-toCloud Orchestration international workshops,” including “3SCity-E2C” and “D2C-ML&AI / Special D2CML&AI Conference Track,” “Intelligent Resource Management Mechanism for Service Execution of LargeScale IoT Networks,” and “The ICT in Smart City Day event (ICT-SCity).” Also, I have recently organized a special scientific track for Digital Twins and Data Engineering in large-scale IoT networks of smart cities within the high prestige IEEE COINS. My Google Scholar citation as of November 2022 was 371, and his Hindex was 12.
His current research interest includes Smart Cities, Large-Scale IoT Management, Big Data Management, Cloud and Edge Computing, Data and Software Management (including Centralized and Distributed).
